In a complex operation involving 60 emergency workers, a 391 kg American woman was evacuated from her home in Stenay, France, and transported to a hospital in Nancy. The operation, which involved the demolition of walls and cutting holes in the floor, was necessary to allow the woman to leave her home.

The woman had been living in France for many years and required hospital treatment for her severe obesity. The operation had been planned for months, and emergency services were called in by medical professionals who were unable to transport the woman to the hospital on their own.

Around 40 firefighters and 10 gendarmes were involved in the operation, which was described by the director of the cabinet of the prefect of Meuse as the most complex of its kind ever carried out in France.

The evacuation operation lasted approximately an hour, during which time walls were demolished, and holes were cut in the floor to enable the woman to be moved from the first floor of her home to the ground floor and then outside through an enlarged window.

During the operation, the street was closed to traffic to ensure the safety of those involved in the operation.

The woman was transported to a hospital in Nancy, where she underwent a planned operation to address her obesity.
