Child from Bangladesh Found Safe After Being Accidentally Sent to Malaysia Inside Shipping Container: Report

In an extraordinary incident, a 15-year-old boy from Bangladesh accidentally travelled to Malaysia in a shipping container while playing hide and seek with friends.

The boy, named Faheem, hid inside the container at the Chittagong port on January 12 but unfortunately locked himself inside.

The container was loaded onto the MV Integra, a commercial ship bound for Malaysia, and Faheem was trapped inside for five days until the container was opened at Klang port on January 17.

Despite being locked inside without food or water, Faheem survived the journey and yelled for help upon arrival. Officials have clarified that this is not a case of human trafficking, but rather an accident caused by the boy falling asleep inside the container.
