31-year-old woman found dead, husband rescued in Zion National Park in Utah

A 31-year-old woman was found dead at Utah’s Zion National Park and her husband was rescued while camping in the park, officials informed.

The husband told authorities they were on a permitted 16-mile hike in the park’s Narrows section when they became “dangerously cold” overnight.

The 33-year-old man went to look for help on Wednesday morning, but search and rescue teams found that the woman had died after park visitors and first responders attempted to administer first aid.

The man said that they experienced symptoms of hypothermia while camping. For the unversed, hypothermia is a medical condition. It occurs when you are exposed to bitter cold for a long time.
