Lithuanian Capital Hosts Annual Event to Address Critical Issues

Lithuania’s capital, Vilnius, is set to become the center of critical discussions at the 9th Vilnius Russia Forum, taking place this Friday. With a primary focus on Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine and the future of the nation, this year’s event aims to shed light on pressing issues surrounding Russia’s domestic and foreign policies.

According to the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, the forum will also address the deteriorating situation of Russian civil society, as well as growing restrictions on the media.

The Vilnius Russia Forum, which has been convened annually since 2014, serves as a platform for in-depth deliberations on a wide range of topics, including human rights, the relationship between Russia and the Western world, and the overall state of civil liberties within Russia.
