On Friday morning, Dominik Zieliński, the spokesperson for the Wągrowiec District Police Command, revealed that the children, who had been taken away from the foster family, have been questioned. Their statements will be forwarded by the family court to the prosecutor’s office and included in the case files.
Children Give Statements and Medical Expert Opinion Sought
Zieliński further stated that an expert in forensic medicine would submit an opinion on the children’s injuries to the prosecutor’s office today. After analyzing the evidence, the prosecution will take further action with the detained individuals. The exact time for their proceedings has not yet been determined.
It was on Wednesday that emergency services participated in the removal of the children from the foster family, as reported by Jarosław Władczyk on Thursday. He stated, “The children had been beaten and mistreated. All of them required transportation to the hospital. The prosecutor’s office and the police were present at the scene.”
Władczyk informed that the 12 children, bearing clear signs of physical abuse, were admitted to the Wągrowiec hospital for forensic examinations.
