The 58th Golden Bell Awards, a distinguished television and broadcasting awards ceremony in Taiwan, has recently announced its nominations. The renowned TV show “The Victims’ Game” has emerged as a strong contender, securing 17 nominations. This series has been making waves globally, being nominated for five categories in this year’s Asia Contents Awards, which celebrates remarkable television series from across Asia.

Actor Wu Kang-jen Nominated for Best Actor

Actor Wu Kang-jen, nominated for Best Actor for his role in “The Victims’ Game,” expressed his appreciation for the industry’s recognition. Despite this nomination marking his fifth, he is grateful for not being eliminated by the industry. Wu Kang-jen returns to the awards with his role as prosecutor ‘Guo Xiaoqi’ in “The Victims’ Game”. While the 17 nominations for “The Victims’ Game” is considered a significant achievement, Wu stated that he doesn’t like to use the term ‘missing pearl’. He explained that every nominee is selected by judges and being lucky enough to get a role is one opportunity. However, performing well in the play presents another challenge, and being recognized by the judges after the performance is yet another level.

In relation to his current show, “The Years We Had”, Wu revealed that he has been observing actor Xi Xiang to find connections between fathers and sons, including subtle sitting postures and leg-raising habits. Despite their initially strained relationship, Wu acknowledged that his relationship with Xi Xiang improved significantly over time.

Wu, along with actor Zheng Yuan Chang, encouraged viewers to tune into the show on time. Zheng humorously described the show as a suspense drama, with a climax in every two episodes, which led to a playful exchange between the two actors.
