In a heartfelt statement, Nigerian music sensation Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, addressed the recent controversy surrounding the untimely death of his former signee, Mohbad, on September 12. In a statement, the singer began by expressing his deep sorrow over the loss and the onslaught on his reputation in the wake of the tragedy.

Naira Marley categorically denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death, directly or indirectly. He clarified that while they had their disagreements during their professional collaboration, they were in the process of resolving them legally before Mohbad’s passing. Marley emphasized his intention to return to Nigeria from abroad to assist with the investigation and cooperate fully with the authorities.
