The Chairman of the board of Directors of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, Turki bin Abdul Mohsen al-Sheikh, announced that the entertainment events held by the authority since 2019 until the first quarter of this year 2023, received more than 120 million visitors.
This figure highlights the success of the Saudi Vision 2030 program, which aims to boost the entertainment sector and diversify the kingdom’s economy away from oil.
According to Al-Sheikh, the authority has organized a total of 8,732 events including entertainment shows, live performances in restaurants and cafes, and other cultural activities. These events ran for more than 76,000 days, including over 1,381 concerts.
The entertainment authority has received many Guinness World Records certificates for its innovative and record-breaking events. These achievements have created numerous job opportunities, both directly and indirectly.
