Italian Music Icon Claudio Baglioni Unveils New Project “A TuttoCuore”

Baglioni’s Vision: A Rock-Opera Show
Renowned Italian singer-songwriter Claudio Baglioni is set to launch a new project titled “A TuttoCuore.” Debuting on September 21 in Rome, the project will later travel to Verona, Palermo, Bari, and is expected to reach indoor stadiums by 2024. The veteran musician describes “A TuttoCuore” as a “rock-opera show,” distinguished by its energy, dynamism, and the sheer number of participants involved.
The extravagant show features 102 participants, including musicians, performers, dancers, choir singers, and vocalists. The stage design is a spectacle in itself, with three stairways leading to a large screen that displays images of Baglioni, video clips, and 3D figures, creating an immersive, multi-sensory experience for the audience.
“A TuttoCuore” – An Escape into Beauty
Baglioni’s vision for “A TuttoCuore” is to provide an escape for the audience. He hopes the show will not distract people from the world’s troubles but rather elevate the number of lively, dreamy, and beautiful things in their lives. The setlist includes five songs from Baglioni’s latest album, with the rest taken from his vast repertoire. Baglioni believes that as artists, they have the responsibility to bring about change and not just deliver what is expected. He sees the necessity to illustrate that they are moving towards something new and innovative.
Current Events Echoed in Art
The show also features images related to current events. Dancers dressed in yellow-blue dresses appear to float in a blood-red sky, and children in black aprons march in a schoolroom like child soldiers. Baglioni does not shy away from political commentary, discussing the migrant landings at Lampedusa, an island he holds dear. He believes that everyone has a right to seek a better life and condemns the use of these issues for political purposes.
Baglioni’s Advocacy: The “O’ Scià” Festival
From 2003 to 2012, Baglioni organized the “O’ Scià” festival in Lampedusa to shed light on the migrant landings and promote integration between ethnic groups. However, he was disheartened that the festival’s contributions were not recognized and that nothing had changed despite their efforts. Despite the challenges, Baglioni continues to make music and bring joy to his fans, proving that even at the age of 72, he is still a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
