Guo Shaoyun, a Hong Kong actress and social media influencer, has been living in Hangzhou, China, for the past few years, where she has been actively engaging with her audience on Chinese social media platforms. Recently, she returned to Hong Kong and shared a lighthearted video titled, “The First Thing to Do When Returning to Hong Kong! Eating and Drinking in Tsim Sha Tsui, then Shopping.” The video featured her in various parts of Hong Kong, including the subway, a mode of transport she admitted to not using often. This unfamiliarity made for some amusing moments when she encountered difficulties with the subway turnstile.

The video attracted a varied response from netizens, with some pointing out that as a Hongkonger, she could use an Octopus card for the subway instead of buying single-trip tickets. Guo responded with good humor, stating that she had unintentionally left her Octopus card in Hangzhou.
Guo Shaoyun, now 54 years old, first stepped into the entertainment industry after participating in the 1992 Miss Hong Kong pageant. She is best remembered for her roles in “True Love” and “Troubles at Guangchanglong”. In recent years, she has shifted her base to Hangzhou, where she has been making a living through live-streaming sales. Despite having been in two relationships in the past, Guo remains single.
Throughout her life, Guo’s love life has been anything but smooth. She was involved with a married man, Liu Shaojun, while filming “True Love”, a relationship that led to Liu’s divorce. She later entered into a relationship with TVB director Zhong Guoqiang, but this too ended without resulting in a lasting partnership. Despite the passage of time, Guo remains single, epitomizing the term “golden leftover woman”.
