From Breakfast Table to Marriage Altar

The grand wedding ceremony of Bollywood actress, Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha was held at the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur. The couple shared images from their wedding day, showing them in traditional Indian wedding attire, and also shared glimpses of the wedding rituals, such as the exchanging of garlands (jaimala) and the circumambulation of the sacred fire (pheras).

In her post, Parineeti discussed their love story, which began over a breakfast date, expressing her joy at finally becoming ‘Mr and Mrs’. The wedding procession (baraat) arrived at the venue in curtained boats after Raghav’s pre-wedding ritual (sehrabandi) at Lake Palace.

Pre-Wedding Festivities and High-Profile Guests

The couple’s pre-wedding festivities included traditional ceremonies like haldi and mehendi, a 90s-themed sangeet featuring a live performance by singer Navraj Hans, a Sufi night, and an ardas (a Sikh prayer ritual) in New Delhi.

Many high-profile guests attended the wedding, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and Bollywood fashion designer Manish Malhotra, among others. Despite expectations, Karan Johar could not attend due to a family emergency, and Parineeti’s cousin, Priyanka Chopra, was absent due to work commitments.

First Appearance As A Married Couple

Following the wedding, the newlyweds departed from Udaipur, making their first appearance as a married couple. The couple got engaged in May, a ceremony attended by Priyanka who flew in from Los Angeles.

Parineeti Chopra’s Upcoming Projects

In terms of her professional career, Parineeti Chopra, who recently starred in the movie Uunchai, has a forthcoming release in Mission Raniganj alongside Akshay Kumar. She is also set to appear in Amar Singh Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh.

First Public Appearance Post-Wedding

The newlyweds made their first public appearance after their wedding ceremony at the Udaipur jetty as they were leaving for their wedding reception in Chandigarh. Parineeti was seen in a casual yet elegant look, sporting sindoor and showing her minimal mehendi while wearing denim pants, a pink top and a pink poncho. She also opted for a non-traditional chooda in a matching pink shade.

The Ivory-Themed Wedding

The couple treated fans to their first pictures from their all-ivory-themed wedding. From Parineeti wearing a long veil with Raghav’s name embroidered in Hindi to opting for minimal kaleere and mehendi, the two had a beautifully detailed wedding.

Wedding Reception and Future Plans

After the private wedding at The Leela Palace, the couple is set to move to Chandigarh for a wedding reception. There are also plans for another reception in Delhi, although it’s not known if they will hold a third wedding party in Mumbai for the industry celebs or not.
